Rick and I are grandparents who love to spend time with our family, especially with the little people. Over 20 years ago while our children were growing up, by circumstance we fell into the picture framing business. It was decided that I should take the picture framing course, which I did, then I taught my husband everything I knew. He had to listen! What are the chances of that happening in a lifetime?

I love working with color and Rick is the creative one. He can build and create his own works of art out of mat board and moulding. We work together with clients to make the perfect setting for their art work. There is nothing more pleasing than to show off the final product and see that they LOVE their piece of art work finished just they way they imagined. My math, which was typically none existant, (other than measuring for baking!) needed to be reprogrammed as we now deal with everything in fractions (my worse math subject ever). Who knew! Now my dear husband, who has built me several homes over the years, is very good with fractions right down to the 32nd of an inch. But he too has had to deal with the change over to metric, which has us both looking at a chart now and again!!! It didn't take long to really enjoy our little business. Once we got into the business we realized the importance of the right tools, a computerized matt cutter was godsend. Rick has it totally figured out, but me, not so much. The road to building clients was slow at first. Always start with family, we did, they were great supporters. Soon friends got wind of our basement ventures and then we were off and running. As we have been strongly connected to our community through church, schools and volunteering in sports, we soon created a niche in the town of Langley. Rick has his own full time job but as he can't sit still on weekends, you will often find him in the shop puttering away on the latest job. He is so particular and precise. His favorite work is with hockey jerseys and the memorabilia that he frames with them. He does a fabulous job and takes pride in his work. Since we started, the world has changed so much. Computers, online everything and the web world. We treat each project with such care and we are not satisfied until you are 100% happy with your finished product.
